Masters of death and decay, who channel the forces of poison and disease to bring an untimly end to their enemies. By invoking these dark powers and unleashing destruction all around them, Warlocks can deal devistating damage against multiple opponents at once.
Warlocks greatest damage comes from thier dumbfire pets the dark broodlings, their Green DoT Apocalypse, their use of "Pre-cast" buffs (corrupt gift and netherous realm). Their "Big Bang" spell is Rift (an up to 12 targets 5-10k PBAoE DD, 2-4 minute refresh). The specialty of the warlocks big spell is it's "aggro-free" component. It will trigger only 1 point of aggro even though it does immense damage. This allows the warlock to get AE damage into a fight early without snapping agro. A warlock with the hastenings EoF tree and the AGI KoS tree can contend with single target damage while using focused casting but those aa enhancements aside the warlocks great damage ability comes in encounter damage expecially of 4+ mobs. Warlocks do very well paired with Illusionist time comp and syenrgism. The warlocks Damage Shield (Nihilistics) averages 4-6% of the tanks overall damage (plate tanks). Their Melee Proc averages 1.0%-12% of a melee's overall dps dependant on class type.

    • decreases range of target by 20%, increases range of the Warlock by 20%. 50 meter range

Aggro concerns: HIGH AE/AoE Aggro

  • Of all Mages the highest aggro considerations, likly to be the first to pull agro without modifications, especially against guardian, and bruiser tanks.
  • Ballancing damage efficiency with aggro efficiency is the largest part of the warlocks Spell "Cycle" or "chain".
  • Leading with Red spells and following into green/blue 3-5 spells into the chain is recomended for beging and even into advanced spell chain tequniques.
  • Requires external agro modification to acheive best damage potential.
    • Troubador (40%)
    • Guardian (38-48%)
    • Coercer (23-28%)
    • Illusionist (Synergism)
    • Pallidin - Amends (last option)
